The Oakland Catholic Track & Field team opened their season this week at Franklin Regional, competing with energy, determination, and team pride. While the final score did not fall in the Eagles’ favor, there is clear promise on the horizon for this talented and developing group.
Several athletes led the way with top three finishes:
Sprints & Mid Distance
Jordan Mitchell (11) 2nd 100m
Raegan Mascaro (11) 3rd 400m
Lenna Birchard (11) 3rd 800m

Anabell Avancho (12) 2nd 1600
Allie Foster (12) 1st 3200
Field Events
Harper Timney (9) 3rd shot put
Sheridan Cunningham (11) 3rd javelin
Madeleine Wingerter (11) 2nd high jump
The Eagles also saw encouraging performances in the hurdles from debut athletes Magdalene Carroll and Matilda Coleman. Oakland Catholic also rolled out 4x100, 4x400, and 4x800 relay teams, each showing strong effort, teamwork, and promise for the season ahead.
With a young and growing roster, the Eagles are building a strong foundation, and their dedication and hard work will continue to drive improvement. The future is bright for Oakland Catholic Track & Field.
